The Experience
Thanks to the generosity of Boston Red Sox owners John Henry and the Fenway Sports Group and President & CEO Sam Kennedy, ABCD welcomes businesses, service organizations, and groups of friends to play the game of their lives at Fenway Park!
Proceeds from this one-of-a-kind sports event benefit young people in Greater Boston who face the harshest social and economic barriers—and who have all the potential in the world.
To live out your dreams at Fenway, your team donates $20,000 — a true investment in young people who have their own dreams of a happy and successful life.

Volunteer at Fenway
How would you like an inside look at historic Fenway Park while helping the iconic ABCD Field of Dreams charity event run like clockwork?
We are seeking volunteers to join us at Fenway Park. Your efforts will help us continue to deliver resources and opportunities to disadvantaged teens and young adults in communities across Greater Boston.
The History
Field of Dreams got its start in 1998 when the Boston Red Sox generously opened Fenway Park to ABCD so that everyday dreamers could swing big at the plate, dart around the bases, and dive for a line drive on the storied field – for a great cause.
This event is made possible through the kindness and dedication of ABCD longtime friends such as Event Co-chair, Lew Eisenberg and Red Sox Vice President/Community, Alumni and Player Relations Pam Kenn. In the past two decades, the benefit softball tournament has raised over $5 million for the ABCD SummerWorks program.
